Medical Student BioSkills Workshop Registration
The American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society invites medical students with an interest in foot and ankle surgery to gain hands-on experience with orthopaedic instruments and techniques. At these free workshops, AOFAS faculty guide students through foot and ankle procedures on Sawbones in interactive, small-group settings.
Workshop dates:
- Saturday, May 3: Chicago, IL
- Saturday, May 31: New York, NY
- Saturday, June 14: Pittsburgh, PA
Day includes:
- Overview of foot and ankle orthopaedic surgery careers
- Stryker RPM/DPM 1000 orthopaedic powertools lab
- Foot and ankle Sawbones lab
- Lunch
Sawbones procedures:
- Ankle Arthrodesis
- Subtalar Arthrodesis
- Lateral Malleolus
- Ankle Syndesmosis
- External Fixator Delta Frame
- Metatarsal Osteotomy (Chevron, Akin, etc.) or Tarsal Fusion
- Lisfranc Fracture Repair Reconstruction
