Medical Student Bioskills Workshop Registration
The American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society invites medical students with an interest in foot and ankle surgery to gain hands-on experience with orthopaedic instruments and techniques. At this free workshop, AOFAS faculty guide students through foot and ankle procedures on Sawbones in an interactive, small-group setting.
Date: Thursday, September 11
Location: AOFAS Annual Meeting, Savannah Convention Center
Day includes:
- Overview of foot and ankle orthopaedic surgery careers
- Lunch and Q&A with faculty on navigating residency and fellowship
- Stryker RMP/DMP 1000 orthopaedic power tools lab
- Foot and ankle procedure lab with Sawbones
Sawbones procedures:
- Ankle arthrodesis
- Lateral malleolus fracture
- External fix delta frame
- Midfoot arthrodesis
- Metatarsal osteotomies
