    In collaboration with Nth Dimensions, the American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society invites undergraduate and medical students with an interest in foot and ankle surgery to gain hands-on experience with orthopaedic instruments and techniques. At this free workshop, faculty will guide students through foot and ankle procedures on Sawbones in interactive, small-group settings; and answer questions about navigating residency and careers in medicine.  

    Workshop details:

    Saturday, October 25 from 10:00 am-3:00 pm
    St Joseph Medical Center, Houston, TX
     

    Day includes: 

    • Overview of careers in foot and ankle orthopaedic surgery
    • Nth Dimensions presentations on becoming a great physician 
    • Foot and ankle Sawbones lab 
    • Lunch
    • Faculty panel Q&A 

    Sawbones procedures: 

    • Ankle arthrodesis
    • Lateral malleolus fracture
    • External fix delta frame
    • Midfoot arthrodesis
    • Metatarsal osteotomies
